Tasting Notes:

A special and delightful award-winning release, Small Reserve Release 07, produced by Zoe, whisky lover and wife of Pete.

This release has been matured in bourbon barrels for 2 years, and finished in seasoned maple syrup casts for a further 6 months. The spirit presents a beautifully balanced profile, beginning with the rich warmth of bourbon cask maturation, offering inviting notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and caramel. The maple syrup cask finish then layers on a unique sweetness, delivering subtle but distinct hints of golden syrup, candied nuts, and a touch of sweet maple syrup pancakes.

Perfect for those who enjoy a delicate interplay of sweetness and a gentle wood-driven complexity.

Animal Fact – Asian Elephant

IUCN Red List Classification – Endangered (decreasing)

The Asian elephant is the largest land mammal on the Asian continent. They inhabit dry to wet forest and grassland habitats in 13 range countries spanning South and Southeast Asia. Asian elephants are extremely sociable, forming groups of six to seven related females that are led by the oldest female, the matriarch. In Asia, elephant herd sizes are significantly smaller than those of savannah elephants in Africa. Elephants actually walk on their toes and have a thick, fibrous pad on the bottom of each foot. This pad acts as a shock absorber, protecting the leg and toe bones from jarring under its weight and cushioning each step.
